Wyndham Destinations is seeking a Legal Counsel to support and assist the Vice President, Panorama in travel services and products, inventory and vendor supply contracts, online travel agency contracts and commercial matters involving Panorama. In this role the Counsel will be expected to be familiar with all company products and services and will support the Vice President in providing legal, strategic and commercial advice to the assigned clients.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Drafting, reviewing and assisting with negotiation of contracts and advising business partners on the same
Research Analysis regarding contracts, legal issues and questions regarding product structure
Performs other duties as assigned
Attend project meetings, prepare checklists and memos related to projects/agreements and related issues
Coordinate with Vice President and other team members regarding execution of work
Engage and communicate with outside counsel as appropriate to assist with development and contract work
Enlist assistance of contract paralegal
Minimal travel is expected, probably no more than 1 trip per year to attend meetings or conduct due diligence at new resort properties.
Minimum Requirements and Qualifications
Juris Doctorate degree from accredited law school
Admitted to Bar Association in at least one state (need not be Florida)
Knowledge and skills:
Travel services, travel club, OTA and contract knowledge highly desirable
Timeshare clubs and exchange knowledge a benefit
Strong analytical and writing skills
Experience drafting contracts from templates and crafting new provisions based on term sheets
Strong leadership and management skills
Ability to work well in a team environment, yet work independently and autonomously with limited supervision
Ability to interact with all levels of management, including senior executive staff
Proficient with MS Word, Outlook and Excel; Strong Internet research skills
Minimum of Two to Five years of experience as a contract attorney, preferably with experience in travel, hospitality and timeshare, as well as, reviewing and drafting regime documents and contracts.
