The Legal Department of JPMorgan Chase & Co is responsible for the provision of legal services to the Corporation. The legal department is predominately organized by practice groups that conform to the organization of the Firm's lines of business (LOBs) and corporate staff areas, allowing the legal staff to work closely with specific groups on a daily basis. Each line of business has an LOB General Counsel, who is the Practice Group Head.

Home Lending Legal Group:

The primary function of the Home Lending legal group is to provide both transactional and strategic legal support for Home Lending's various departments including originations, servicing, and capital markets.

Job Responsibilities: The job will be a paralegal position located in the Home Lending Originations Legal group and be responsible for:

• Providing support to the originations attorneys who support home lending originations, with particular emphasis on trust reviews, LLC reviews, legal description corrections, and closing table support
• Helping to ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal laws impacting the home lending originations business
• Providing support for real estate title related matters and other matters as assigned

• 5 years of experience as a paralegal with a mortgage company, bank or law firm
• Working knowledge of laws impacting real estate
• General knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations impacting mortgage originations such as TILA, ECOA, FCRA, RESPA, the Fair Housing Act, the Homeowners Protection Act, and predatory lending laws
• Experience with trust and estate laws preferred
• Ability to prioritize work and interact effectively with attorneys in the department
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent legal research skills
• Competence in use of Microsoft Office products
• A bachelor's degree or paralegal certificate from a recognized paralegal program
• All candidates for roles in the Legal department must successfully complete a conflicts of interest clearance review prior to commencement of employment
