Job Description

The Senior Manager, Business Continuity & Resiliency, reports to the Vice President, Corporate Security and leads a global team of three full-time and/or contract business continuity and disaster recovery professionals, augmented by additional supporting resources as necessary. Primary accountabilities include developing, implementing, and delivering a comprehensive business continuity and disaster recovery program strategy and framework that enables and supports the achievement of Conduent’s overall business strategy and objectives. The Business Continuity team enables effective, uninterrupted operational performance by ensuring that a well-designed, efficient, and effectively administered enterprise-wide business continuity and disaster recovery program exists and is maintained, monitored, and updated as needed. This individual partners with leaders and business areas throughout Conduent to help drive best in class performance and the delivery of optimal value to Conduent and its clients.

The Senior Manager, Business Continuity & Resiliency, is a hands-on leader who coordinates and oversees the design, update, administration, and maintenance of the enterprise business continuity and disaster recovery program, inclusive of crisis management plans and capabilities. This individual ensures that key processes are identified and documented, business impact assessments are completed, recovery plans are documented and maintained, and that the enterprise maintains an appropriate resilient posture in anticipation of potentially disruptive events and during their occurrence. This role is instrumental in working with the business areas to coordinate resumption and return to a normal operational state in the event of a business disruption.

This individual may be based in the corporate headquarters in Florham Park, NJ or remotely and should be open to periodic travel as necessary.

Accountabilities

  • Design and execute an approved effective business continuity and disaster recovery strategy and approach that supports operational performance and aligns with contractual and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and lead a team of second line of defense professionals who facilitate coordinating a network of business unit professionals with primary responsibility for BC/DR plan development and maintenance in compliance with enterprise program guidelines and standards.
  • Lead the enterprise business continuity and disaster recovery program, enabling ongoing operational execution and minimizing related business disruption and impact
  • Develop and provide ongoing monitoring of performance metrics and associated management reporting for the enterprise business continuity and disaster recovery program.
  • Support and enable the crisis management program, helping ensure sufficient preparation and timely, effective mobilization and response in the event of an actual crisis
  • Coordinate third party resources as necessary and appropriate
  • Drive and influence a culture of quality and excellence, contributing to an enhanced reputation and brand for the Global Risk organization
  • Lead assigned operational functions, enabling strong performance and quality while attracting, developing, and retaining exceptional talent
  • Drive and demonstrate a partnership philosophy and approach, developing and maintaining strong relationships throughout the company
  • Support client and other inbound third-party assurance activities and strategic initiatives as necessary

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive Fortune 500 business continuity or information technology experience
  • Undergraduate degree
  • Expert knowledge of business continuity and disaster recovery concepts, principles, and practices

Desired Qualifications

  • Understanding of technology and cybersecurity concepts and principles
  • Industry knowledge in any of the following areas: Contact Centers, Business Process Outsourcing, Print and Mail Operations, Healthcare, Financial Services, Transaction Processing
  • Master’s degree
