Legal.io is working with a mid-size Real Estate law firm in the LA area to hire a mid-level legal assistant. The firm focuses on Real Estate, so experience in that area is a bonus!

This is a 40hr/week, temp to perm position. The firm's office is in the Century City neighborhood of LA, and is not remote.

Role Responsibilities:

• Draft engagement letters
• Set appointments and make lunch reservations for partners/clients
• Open files for each new matter or client
• Track bills and other expenses in AP/billing software
• Be able to juggle multiple matters in a day at once
• Great on the phone
• Organized, punctual, and excellent followup on all tasks
• Good attitude; eager to learn
• Good communication skills, both inside and outside team/firm
• Tech savvy, with experience using Word, Excel, and Outlook

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education / experience
• 5+ years of experience as a legal assistant or paralegal

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in litigation or real estate
• Paralegal background

Role Details:

• Anticipated Start Date: August 2021
• Structure: temp to perm, 6 month initial contract
• Pay Rate: $75,000 - $85,000
• Location: Century City, California - Los Angeles Metro
