Legal.io us working with a mid-sized regional law firm based in Washington, D.C. We are seeking a mid-level litigation associate with big law experience and extensive knowledge of discovery and pre-trial practice. Work will largely be on Environmental, Social Justice, Governance (ESG) and human rights cases. Exemplary cases include representation of State Attorneys General against polluters and of Native American tribes against the opioid industry. 

Required qualifications:

  • 4 to 6 years of experience in a law firm
  • Strong legal research, writing and analysis skills
  • Experience with complex litigation
  • Deep understanding of procedural rules and processes
  • Familiarity with document review and factual organization

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Brainspace, Reveal/Relativity or CaseMap/Factbox

Role Details:

  • Anticipated Start Date: Immediately
  • Duration: 6 months (potential for conversion into a permanent positions)
  • Schedule: 40hrs/week
  • Compensation: $80/hr - $90/hr ($160k - $180k annual comp level)
  • Benefits: healthcare, vision, dental
  • Location: Washington DC or US East Coast [REMOTE]
