Legal.io is working with a top social media company in the SF-Bay Area to hire a Data Privacy Protection Operations Specialist [Contract] for a 40h / week 12 month contract.

Role Responsibilities:

• You have experience processing user requests and/or strong background in operations
• You are at ease with responding clearly and concisely to time-sensitive requests
• You are an excellent communicator, and will maintain open, thorough, and regular communication with teammates and cross-functional teams
• You are flexible and can adjust accordingly to ensure team efficiency and deliverables are met
• You are able to spot anomalies or unusual patterns in requests you handle
• You are attentive to detail, organized, and able to prioritize tasks in a dynamic work environment even when they are sometimes monotonous
• You can deliver consistent high-quality work and have a knack for managing multiple tasks efficiently
• Handle global user requests including requests for account information and deletion requests
• Work on regulatory investigations and responses
• Help scale privacy and data protection compliance processes
• Respond to internal and external privacy and data protection inquiries
• Asses new products and projects and identify associated privacy and data protection risks

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education / experience
• 2-5 years in an operations role at a tech company
• Prior experience working on privacy and data protection related matters
• Exceptional communication and writing skills
• Passion and enthusiasm for protecting user privacy and freedom of expression

Preferred Qualifications:

• CIPP certification is not required but is preferred.
• Fluency in a second or more languages
• Ability to work on repetitive tasks

Role Details:

• Anticipated Start Date: Immediately
• Schedule: 40 hours per week for 12 months
• Pay Rate: $30/hr - $34/hr
• Location: San Francisco, CA - Remote
