This position serves as the overall assistant to the Division Chief (DC) for the Health, Education & Family Services Division. The First Assistant assists in the operation of the division and directs the work of the subordinate attorneys and support staff within the division. The First Assistant also provides legal representation and legal counsel to the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, Michigan Department of Education and Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs as well as agencies, commissions boards and staff within these Departments.
