​​Legal.io is seeking an employment litigator to support the in-house legal department of one of its clients. We seek a senior employment litigator, reporting to the global employment counsel, with top credentials to support and act as the point person on a small number of employment litigation cases.  

What You’ll Do:

  • Manage and act as the point person for a small number of employment litigation cases
  • Draft and/or review pre-litigation and litigation documents, including correspondence with opposing counsel, pleadings and mediation/arbitration statements
  • Manage outside counsel handling both employment and non-employment litigation, directing litigation strategy, and reviewing pleadings and other documents
  • Advise and counsel on day-to-day employment issues issues as well as strategic initiatives

Who You Are:

  • A senior employment litigator with top credentials
  • Experience handling employment litigation cases from beginning to end - deposition, drafting pleading, summary judgement
  • Excellent organizational skills, time management and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects under deadline pressure.

Required Qualifications:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • Active admission to the California bar
  • 10+ years of directly related legal experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong academic background
  • Experience in employment legal issues in an in-house setting

Role Details:

  • Anticipated Start Date: Immediately
  • Schedule: 40 hours / week
  • Location: Remote
  • Initial Contract duration 4 months with potential to renew
