Litigation Paralegal

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of litigation support experience as a Paralegal or Legal Specialist at a law firm or in-house legal department.
  • Experience with civil or Patent litigation or regulatory investigation response procedures.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience effectively and efficiently managing numerous cases and/or projects under time-sensitive deadlines with little to no oversight.
  • Experience working on internet technology, regulatory investigations, patent and/or general litigation.
  • Knowledge of Google applications (i.e. Workspace).
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and a commitment to professionalism and collegiality.
  • Flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced, innovative, and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Work alongside the litigation counsel and collaborate with teams, including legal, product, business, and others. 
  • Conduct fact-finding investigations, gather information, identify documents/data to preserve and/or collect in response to discovery, regulatory agency requests, or internal investigations.
  • Coordinate with the external legal counsel on specific assignments, review preliminary advice, and assist with providing internal recommendations.
  • Support or drive case management such as workflows, task lists, status updates, timing, and overall case organization, along with projects related to tooling, process, or policy improvements.
  • Field escalations of increased risk and complexity from the team and manage internal/external customer relationships in areas of subject matter expertise.
