Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in project management involving data analysis, reporting, timeline estimation, issue tracking, meeting facilitation, or process documentation.
  • Experience with vendor management.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally on workstreams.
  • Ability to influence and negotiate agreements.
  • Passion for service delivery or process improvement.
  • Excellent organization, planning, communication, and collaboration skills.

As a member of the Legal Contracts team, you review and revise contracts -- often juggling several at a time. You develop practical and innovative ways to meet Google's needs and keep the company thriving, with the ability to affect Google's long-term goals.

As a Legal Operations Associate, you’ll work on a variety of contracts and cross-functional procurement streamlining initiatives. You will assist with the development of the legal team and its processes.

In this role, you will support the Legal team with cross-functional procurement related projects. You will support a range of activities to enable programs and work with partners across the organization. You will help to ensure that our inbound templates are easy to use and optimized to achieve the best outcomes for Google.

 

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the continuous maintenance and improvement of forms, processes, and systems.
  • Work directly with clients and partners to review, draft, and negotiate risk complexity and commercial agreements.
  • Respond to requests from business development, product, and other clients to summarize and communicate legal concepts.
  • Advise business clients on the legal issues and risks, agreement structures, approval processes, and company policies/procedures.
  • Conduct research to facilitate development of subject-matter expertise in areas relevant to the legal team’s work. Gather and organize information and documentation to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the team.
