Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.* Draft contracts, contest and sweepstakes rules, correspondence, and other legal documents* Assist with claims handling and reporting* Provide litigation support, including document management and responding to discovery requests* Prepare subpoena responses* Assist with document and contract management* Assist with lease preparation and lease administration tasks* Assist with transactional real estate projects (ie managing checklists, reviewing title, etc.)* Assist with obtaining necessary licenses and permits* Assist with the review and processing of outside legal invoices* Assist with insurance reporting, obtaining certificates of insurance, and other insurance-related tasks* Track and summarize relevant legislation* Legal research* Other duties as assignedSkills* Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel* Excellent oral and written communication skills* Independent worker with demonstrated initiative, excellent judgment, and ability to work independently on matters of significant size and complexity.* Ability to manage multiple projects and in-house clients in a fast-paced environment. * Confidence dealing with senior management and sophisticated partners, vendors, and counterparties.* Strong interpersonal, analytical, problem solving, organizational, drafting, and communication skills.Supervisory ResponsibilityNo direct reportsEducation* Bachelor's degree required; paralegal certificate preferred* 2+ years of relevant paralegal experience at a law firm, governmental legal office, or at a private sector legal department.Working ConditionsThis job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.Physical Demands The Corporate Paralegal will have to spend long hours sitting and/or standing using office equipment and computers which can cause muscle strain. The Corporate Paralegal may also have to do some light lifting of supplies and materials up to 35 lbs from time to time. Infrequent travel may be required.Environmental Conditions The Corporate Paralegal may have to manage several projects at one time and may be interrupted frequently to meet the needs and requests of the Company. The Corporate Paralegal may find the environment to be busy or noisy and will need excellent organizational and time and stress management skills to complete the required tasks.Sensory Demands Sensory demands include use of the computer, which may cause eyestrain and occasional headaches. The office may be noisy and busy making it difficult for the Corporate Paralegal to concentrate.
