The Cradlepoint Legal Affairs team is a part of the Commercial Legal Affairs Team, a division within Group Function Legal Affairs & Compliance and the head of the unit works with the Chief Legal Officer of the Ericsson Group. This position will provide dedicated commercial legal support to the Cradlepoint subsidiary in Boise, Idaho U.S.

Our major scope of work is contractual, and we are involved in engaging and negotiating agreements with suppliers, channel partners such as distributors and resellers, and enterprise customers. We also provide business structure and model support for existing and new product offerings. The international and ground-breaking technology and business context in which Cradlepoint operates provides an excellent opportunity and environment for a results-oriented, adventurous, and curious lawyer to grow and develop and be part of the forefront of technology and legal development.

Reporting to the head of the Cradlepoint unit, this Legal Counsel will be encouraged to independently support internal clients worldwide and uphold a high service level in doing so. Equally important is that the Legal Counsel shows integrity and intuition for business as well as takes the interest of the Ericsson Group as a whole into account. You will :

  • Draft review and negotiate agreements and other legal documents
  • Provide highly efficient and quality legal support to Cradlepoint clients, including supporting and leading legally sophisticated transactions
  • Provide business structuring and business model support
  • Facilitate commercial operations of Cradlepoint and assist with appropriate risk analysis
  • Support compliance with laws, regulations and internal policies and directives
  • Be responsible to provide legal training and advice to employees at all levels, including executives

To be successful in the role you must have :

  • J.D. (membership of a State Bar in U.S) or Master of Law
  • More than 7 years of experience practicing qualified commercial law and international business experience
  • Experience with channel partner ecosystems for sale of IT and SaaS solutions, intellectual property, data security and issues common to technology transactions
  • Recognized experience, skills, and competence to independently handle legal matters
  • Ability to handle any counterparty in negotiations and otherwise, support and work with high-level leaders
  • Interest and understanding of business strategies and goals
  • Integrity, accountability, analytical ability, along with creativity and dedication to completion
  • Sophisticated skills in communication, social competence, and able to handle stress
  • Language proficient in English
