What we need:

Mohawk is looking for a PARALEGAL – FNA who can do more for all Mohawk Flooring North America brands across residential, distributor and builder multifamily divisions.

This position will provide overall paralegal support with regard to legal matters for Flooring North America, with an emphasis on contract support.

What you’ll do:

• Oversee day-to-day of contract management system and processes, including:
  • Manage contract workflows and contracts in the Ariba contract management system.
  • Communicate with internal stakeholders to resolve issues and keep the contract process moving.
  • Ensure compliance with contracting process and Delegation of Authority.
  • Closely monitor the term of contracts and prepare and send out termination letters when appropriate.
  • Work with IS to manage contract templates, approval routes and reporting; and
  • Develop and present Ariba, contract process, and DOA training.
• Review and revise legal documents, including non-disclosure agreements and other contracts.
• Appropriately escalate contract issues to counsel that may require further analysis and review.
• Research legal issues and engage in fact gathering and checking to provide support on all assigned legal matters.
• Suggest and implement process and system improvements.
• Perform such other duties as assigned.

What you have:

• Bachelor’s degree and/or a paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years relevant experience as a paralegal in a contracts-based practice or in contract management, with in-house legal experience preferred.
• Experience with Ariba or other contract management system strongly preferred.
• Understanding of contractual terms and issue identification.
• Demonstrated ability to operate with a high degree of independence and discretion, including on highly sensitive and business-critical matters.
