The Senior Brand Counsel, Commercial Legal position is responsible for providing legal, regulatory and healthcare compliance counsel for our Botox Therapeutics and Eye Care Franchises. This position will oversee the Botox Therapeutics and Eye Care franchises and provide substantive advice to cross-functional departments including Commercial, Medical Affairs, and Regulatory Affairs. This position provides counsel concerning a broad range of legal, regulatory and compliance issues, including FDA regulations, False Claims Act, Anti-Kickback Statute, OIG guidance, the PhRMA Code and competition law in connection with product labeling, promotional and non-promotional activities, marketing strategies, sales compensation, government reimbursement, and interactions with healthcare professionals. The Senior Counsel will have responsibility for managing attorneys.

You Will
  • Work cross functionally with various departments to meet business objectives.
  • Provide legal advice and assistance related to commercial programs, including patient assistance, marketing programs and promotional campaigns in line with laws and policies,
  • Be responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate Policies and procedures.
  • Develop knowledge of Botox and Eye Care businesses and proactively guide commercial, medical and regulatory clients related to same.
  • Coordinate with Allergan Aesthetics legal counsel on price-related issues impacting Botox Therapeutics as well as other legal functions as needed.
  • Help select and direct the work of outside counsel, define project objectives and manage project
  • Serve as recognized source, for the business as well as other attorneys, regarding innovative ideas in complex areas of law, business, or technology.
  • Be committed to meeting patient unmet needs and be energized by rising to new challenges and coming up with creative solutions to serve patients. Be energized by challenging and interesting legal work and novel business problems.
  • Stay abreast of changes in laws that affect client areas.
  • Identify unmet needs and future legal issues and proactively proposes strategies to optimize outcomes and results for the company and manage risk.
  • Have excellent communication skills.
  • Have the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
  • Manage a team of one to two attorneys providing strategic coaching and direction to meet the needs of the business compliantly.
Qualifications

You Bring
  • Minimum 10+ years of legal experience.
  • JD and any professional licensing requirements of the state in which rhe role is practiced.
  • Experience working with life sciences organizations, preferably pharmaceutical companies, required.
  • Experience with Market Access and Managed Health Care matters preferred.
