A successful Litigation Services Director candidate will help manage litigation projects and key relationships with Nextpoint's law firm clients, ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments, and goals. We're looking for a "people person" with a passion for customer service, excellent communication skills, and first-class problem solving to help us expand Nextpoint adoption within our client firms.
 
This role serves as a member of the Engagement Team. Key functions of this position include consulting clients regarding their eDiscovery and litigation projects, managing and executing on client needs (trial database setup/workflow, exhibit/transcript management, and presentation needs for any/all proceedings), and serving as the clients’ contact and advocate inside Nextpoint.
 
This role is key to developing, maintaining, and expanding client relationships by ensuring the clients’ needs are addressed in a timely and professional manner. This role also often serves as a liaison between the end client, Client Success, Sales, Marketing, Product, and Operations Teams and as such, is key to maintaining client satisfaction and increasing revenue, driving the future success of Nextpoint.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Understand all technical aspects of both the Nextpoint Discovery & Litigation suites to execute projects efficiently and train/onboard clients to work effectively
  • Perform loadfile configurations to better adapt incoming data into Nextpoint platform
  • Meet and consult with clients on overall firm or project-specific objectives and develop customized solutions for their needs (including resource requirements/project staffing)
  • Consult/create/art direct trial outlines and presentations for proceedings
  • Build increased knowledge of a client's general objective (infer beyond what is asked)
  • Constantly monitor and report on progress of the project (both internally and externally) including hours, expenses, and budget burn
  • Evaluate all key project deliverables and final product to ensure traceability of requirements, high quality, and client acceptance
  • Respond and manage support tickets, the support queue, and overall client requests
  • Assist in creating internal processes surrounding better data/presentation support
  • Act as a liaison between Engagement and Product Development, in an effort to automate and/or simplify data/presentation support and functionality
  • The role includes being part of a rotating evening/weekend on-call rotation (approximately once every two months), and occasionally will require working beyond normal business hours
  • The role would be a hybrid in-office/remote position based out of Nextpoint’s Chicago office and includes 10-20% travel (perhaps more depending on trial schedules)
Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience as a Project Manager/Graphic Artist or equivalent roles preferably at a SaaS, technology, or consulting company
  • Experience at a law firm or legal service provider preferred, but not required
  • High proficiency in PowerPoint, Photoshop, Excel
  • Experience with web-based project management and/or time keeping software
  • Self-starter approach to work, with an eagerness to consistently meet and exceed objectives and take on more responsibility
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and facilitation skills
  • Ability to problem solve and think analytically in a fast-paced environment
  • Generally tech savvy
  • Bachelor's degree
