Remote Commercial Counsel [In-House] [Contract]

About the job is working with several growing tech companies seeking 100% remote, commercial counsel on a contract basis to support their existing legal teams and business divisions.

What You’ll Do:

  • Draft and negotiate sale and/or purchaser side contracts, such as master services agreements, sales agreements, SaaS agreements, subscription agreements, license agreements, service level agreements, procurement agreements, and vendor agreements.

Who You Are:

  • A doer, meaning you are experienced in the day to day drafting, negotiation and templating of agreements to help close deals
  • Experienced legal professional with a track record of supporting in-house teams in a commercial and/or product counsel role
  • Can effectively negotiate with a positive impact on customer relationships without compromising necessary speed to conclude a transaction
  • Highly organized and motivated
  • Able to work well both as part of a team and independently, with a proven track record of success working with senior management
  • Has experience designing, implementing, and executing effective commercial, transaction, and related processes
  • Comfortable working with lean teams and wearing multiple hats in a smaller company environment

Required Qualifications:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • Active admission to the bar of any state 
  • 5+ years of directly related legal experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience representing companies in the technology sector is a plus
  • Capable of effectively working with pacific time business hours

Role Details:

  • Anticipated Start Date: Immediately
  • Location: 100% remote
  • Full time or part time, contract hire for either 3, 6 or 12 month engagements (some contract engagements will have the option to renew, and others may convert to full time direct hire employment upon successful completion and budgetary allowance)
