What we are looking for:
We are seeking Counsel to join the Legal Department at our Livingston Headquarters. Reporting into Senior Counsel, this role will provide analysis and counsel on all corporate legal processes including contract reviews, negotiations, dispute resolution, management of lawsuits, and other legal activities and projects. Counsel will directly interface with a diverse range of internal clients in providing legal support. Primary responsibilities include drafting, reviewing, negotiating and interpreting commercial agreements including product supply and distributions agreements; sales and purchasing contracts for goods, services and taw materials; licensing and technology agreements; financing and loan agreements; nondisclosure/confidentiality agreements; and other contracts as needs arise.
The ideal candidate will possess a Juris Doctor Degree from an accredited law school and experience drafting, negotiating and reviewing commercial contracts. A valid license to practice law in the State of New Jersey or New York is also required as well as the ability to perform risk/benefits analysis of legal issues and confidently make recommendations. Strong personal ethics, attention to detail and excellent communication skills are also essential.
