With over 200 million subscribers enjoying great original content streaming in over 190 countries, it is an exciting and innovative time to work at Netflix. Our company is continuing to change the way people around the world enjoy entertainment, and to increase the audiovisual and storytelling quality that viewers expect. A critical component of that effort is engaging and partnering with a wide variety of visual effects (VFX) and virtual production service providers around the globe to help make the vision of our content creators come to life. To sustain our ambitious content efforts and build a truly global brand providing visually and technically stunning content, it is critical that we properly structure and execute the legal framework between our productions and the VFX and virtual production partners that contribute to our content.

In their day-to-day, this Counsel will work closely with other members of the SOAP Business & Legal Affairs team, as well as the VFX and Virtual Production business departments, the Physical Production Legal group that supports the needs of our various film and episodic series productions, and other cross functional partners throughout Netflix. This role will report to the Director, Business & Legal Affairs, VFX & Virtual Production on the SOAP team.

The Counsel will ideally drive increased workflow efficiency and help establish more systematic approaches in contracting with vendors and service providers.

This is a demanding and fast-paced role that requires passion, curiosity, and significant initiative. Our aim is to find a resourceful professional who can both support our business in current ways of working, and provide the adaptability and creativity needed to keep pace and help drive innovative new approaches and solutions.
