The Johnson & Johnson Law Department seeks a Senior Counsel to support its Vogue haircare and Skin Health businesses within our Consumer Health business. The position will be located in Skillman, NJ, New Brunswick, NJ; Fort Washington, PA or Tampa, Fl and will require limited domestic travel.

You will be responsible for providing strategic legal advice across all applicable areas of law to the Vogue leadership team and providing general legal support to the Skin Health business. You will be required to anticipate and manage legal risk and advance business objectives while protecting the company’s interests and reputation. Working both individually and collaboratively with others in the legal department, the attorney will handle a variety of sophisticated matters supporting the Customer Development organization.

Responsibilities will include

• Partnering with business clients and colleagues in the Johnson & Johnson Law Department globally to support business opportunities while ensuring compliance with applicable legislation, industry guidelines and internal policies;

• Effectively engaging with business partners and customers to negotiate commercial arrangements and resolve commercial disputes;

• Developing and recommending policies and positions on complex and evolving legal issues;

• Collaborating with marketing and regulatory partners to ensure compliant marketing materials and consumer communications strategies;

• Developing and delivering legal training within the Consumer Health business, as appropriate; and

• Crafting legal templates and effecting process improvements within the law department

Qualifications

• 
  A Juris Doctor Degree with admission to (and current good standing with) the bar of at least one state or the District of Columbia.

• A minimum of 7 years of experience practicing as an attorney required.

• Proven ability to provide outstanding legal services to, and interact with, a range of senior executives.

• Strong interpersonal, communication and leadership skills and an excellent track record of collaboration with colleagues.

• Must possess the ability to think strategically, develop creative and compliant solutions and apply strong analytical skills.

• Effective communicator and collaborator who can make the complex simple in a team-based, fast-paced environment.
