Paralegal - Key Bank Law Group

The paralegal in the Key Bank law group provides professional legal support to attorneys.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Conducts legal research, summarizes findings, prepares documents, and maintains results.
  • Partners with and serves as a liaison between assigned function/area and KeyBank employees, and line of business clients.
  • Effectively handle daily requests in a timely manner
  • Collaborates with attorneys, clients, management, and co-workers.
  • Maintains case files and is responsible for the accurate and complete input of data.
  • Attends meetings with management on process or issues that occur on matters.
  • Responds to emails, phone calls and inquiries in a timely fashion.
  • Acts as knowledgeable business partner providing competent and effective support to the Law Group.
  • Performs legal research; documenting and summarizing findings and effectively presenting and preserving results.
  • Develops effective and collaborative relationships.
  • Conducts research through a variety of tools, prepare and maintain legal documents.

Position Requirements:
  • High School Diploma.
  • Paralegal formal education and certificate, or 2 years of equivalent work experience (paralegal, legal administrative or administrative assistant experience).
  • Strong writing and oral communication skills.
  • Strong organization and planning skills, must be able to manage multiple matters, track information, and prioritize time.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint) required; must be able to learn internal document and case management software.
  • Knowledge of legal documents preferred.
  • Must be able to provide detailed, accurate, high quality work, and keep information confidential.
  • Must be able to work independently and manage own case load.
  • Detail-oriented, with the ability to organize and prioritize work.
  • Demonstrates ability to independently problem solve and offer constructive solutions to issues as they arise
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Knowledgeable and responsive team player.
  • Ability to work independently on routine matters.
  • Has a comfort level working with diverse team, clients and lower to mid-level management.
  • Ability to develop baseline level of institutional/banking knowledge.
