Job Summary

Part of the Sitel Group, Transactional Legal team, as Contracts Corporate Counsel, you will work under various Sitel Business Departments to negotiate global outsourcing deals, consult on day-to-day legal inquiries relating to client engagements, and carry out other projects and duties as needed. Our preferred candidate will have significant experience drafting and negotiating complex outsourcing transaction agreements.

  • Draft, negotiate and review commercial agreements (both client and vendor contracts)
  • Perform risk assessment related to commercial terms, identifying and vetting high-risk matters
  • Facilitate approval and execution of commercial agreements.
  • Prepare and update legal standards playbook and template agreements.
  • Provide independent advice and counsel to internal business partners on legal matters, including contract interpretation and legal disputes.
  • Perform other matters as requested.

Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Must have a JD from a US-Accredited University and license to practice law in a US jurisdiction.
  • 7 years of directly related work experience in a law firm or corporate legal environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with well-developed interpersonal skills, including strong drafting and negotiation skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively with high levels of client/customer interaction and visibility, including the ability to prioritize objectives and handle a heavy workload.
  • Experience structuring, drafting and negotiating sophisticated commercial contracts required (BPO experience a plus).
  • Superior judgment, discretion, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to constructively engage business teams and win confidence as a trusted advisor.
  • General technology, intellectual property, privacy knowledge and experience working in a global company are a plus for this position.
  • Utilizing effective negotiation, relationship management skills and organization skills are the key skill sets needed in this position.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and developing positive relationships with internal and external clients are important in this role.
