We are looking for an attorney to join the small but growing Stash legal team. This attorney will report to our Director of Legal, Corporate and Commercial, and will lead the commercial contracting needs of the business and must have a willingness to expand into other substantive areas to support business needs.

What You'll Do:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate inbound and outbound commercial agreements from a variety of sources (real estate, cloud services, SaaS services, recruiting and contracting, etc.).
  • Troubleshoot commercial issues and devise solutions to support the business.
  • Oversee contract management processes and tools.
  • Own and improve legal forms, processes and procedures related to commercial activities to improve operating efficiency while mitigating legal risk, including our contract playbook.
  • Partner with business teams to improve the contract review and contract management process.
  • Collaborate with all other members of the legal team, as well as business partners; support the continuous improvement of legal processes to promote efficiency; be flexible - the scope of your job may evolve and change by business demands.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • Minimum 4 years of experience working in with commercial contracts, at least 2 years as part of an in-house legal department.
  • Membership in good standing in at least one state bar (New York preferred).
  • Must be proficient with Ironclad or similar software.
  • Ability to cope with competing priorities, tight deadlines, and high volume of contracts.
