Exciting opportunity for a General Counsel – Americas

Your impact on the Organization

The General Counsel - Americas will provide legal counsel and advice regarding all Incora business activities in the region, including drafting sales and procurement contracts, international trade and compliance, ethics, employment matters, litigation management, budget management and team leadership.


  • Lead a team of attorneys and staff based in the US in addition to providing counsel for business activities in the US, Mexico, and Canada
  • Provide counsel for long-term and complex supply and services contracts to a highly transactional organization, supporting Aviation, Defense, Pharmaceuticals and Chemicals.
  • Provide efficient delivery of legal counsel, advice and guidance responsive and supportive of Incora’s business objectives and operations in the Americas.
  • Develop strong, trusted relationships with business partners and external customers.
  • Learn the drivers for the business to identify opportunities to improve customer relations and to advance our growth and protect our market positions.
  • Ensure legal compliance for government contracting, support M&A activity, support corporate governance and ensure that the business maintains high standards of ethical conduct and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications


What you will need

  • Juris Doctorate degree required
  • Fluent capability of the English language in writing and speaking. Skills in Spanish would be helpful.
  • Minimum 12 years of legal experience required. Preferably minimum 8 year corporate “in-house” experience.
  • Demonstrated experience leading a legal team, helping align resources to company goals and appropriate allocation of duties.
  • Government contracting and trade compliance experience.
  • Compliance, audit and/or regulatory experience, preferably in an international environment.
  • Hands-on; self-starter; team-player.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, ability to identify, evaluate (risk/reward balance) and resolve legal issues within the context of the business strategy and objectives.
