We are currently seeking applicants for Corporate Attorney in the Legal department of our Executive division located in Springfield, MO. This position will provide legal counsel and representation for Associated in business affairs affecting the Cooperative. This position will protect Associated’s legal rights, further the business goals of the Cooperative, provide analysis, coordination, guidance and support in federal regulatory/policy matters, and ensure operations are carried out in accordance with current laws and regulations.

Job Requirements:

  • Possess a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school and at least 5 years’ experience in general practice
  • Member in good standing of a state bar, preferably Missouri
  • Proven experience working with applicable federal regulatory agencies (including FERC and EPA) on complex regulatory matters
  • Experience in negotiation of energy and natural gas commodity master agreements across multiple platforms such as ISDA, EEI, NAESB, and WSPP
