POSITION SUMMARY:
The Senior Paralegal will be part of the Nestlé Nutrition legal department and is expected to serve as an important member of the Nestlé Nutrition legal team. This position is dedicated to process-driven growth to help scale all legal operations, and work closely with the General Counsel and other company stakeholders to create processes and practices to improve the day-to-day efficiency and effectiveness of the legal team, facilitate change and control costs. This is an individual contributor role, reporting to the General Counsel.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Optimize the legal team’s tools, technology and processes, by leading the effort to develop, implement and enhance department processes, systems and tools and making recommendations to General Counsel on the technology direction for the department
  • Develop playbooks and other related supporting materials outlining legal processes, standard procedures, system usage, and general team processes to enable consistent and efficient transactions
  • Identify and implement legal department tools to streamline new or existing practices & Triage and properly direct incoming legal engagement requests •Develop and manage a process for tracking contract expirations, renewals, terminations, and other key terms •Implement, coordinate and assist with other legal department projects including maintaining and publishing templates, developing compliance materials, creating presentations and conducting training
  • Implement and manage a contract management system and workflow management system as well as define and enforce processes and policies in support of the contract and workflow management systems
  • Manage other plans or initiatives to make the legal department more efficient, as delegated by the General Counsel
  • Report on key operational concerns for the legal team that will better inform decision-making, including matter and work product analyses and assist with optimizing workflows within the legal department
  • Partner with internal business partners to increase workflow efficiency by providing guidance on steps prior to engaging legal team, set expectations regarding corporate matters, and help expedite process for providing feedback and related legal documents. Encourages continued improvement by identifying opportunities and suggesting viable solutions
Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Paralegal certificate
  • 5+ years working in a law firm or corporate legal team
  • Prior experience developing playbooks and policies
  • Demonstrated ability to independently move projects forward by gaining support needed from others while working in a cross-functional role
  • Proven track record of collaborating with cross-functional groups (e.g., Finance, Operations, Sales, IT) to set objectives and produce meaningful results
  • Strong experience in developing, implementing, and using legal department technology solutions
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
