Description

Salem Media Group offers an exceptional opportunity for a Real Estate & Corporate Paralegal for our busy legal department in Camarillo, CA. *This position could be remote for the right candidate.

Primary Responsibilities:

Real Estate:

  • Provides transactional support in commercial real estate sales transactions, from inception to closing.
  • Supports portfolio of leasing transactions including new leases, lease amendments and extensions, easements, SNDAs, and estoppels.
  • Provides strong documentation drafting, troubleshooting and transaction management skills.
  • Supports improvements of business processes and strategic real estate initiatives.
  • Manages compliance with transaction approval and reporting obligations.
  • Conducts real estate record research and due diligence.

Corporate:

  • Corporate maintenance including annual filings, board prep including agendas and minutes, and stock option management
  • Review and maintain company contracts and subcontracts.
  • Responsible for generating, tracking, and exercising contracts with vendors, landlords, and customers.
  • Prepare and compose extensive Power Point presentations.
  • Ability to deal with sensitive and confidential information with diplomacy and discretion, as well as a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Create required changes, ensuring compliance with company requirements.
  • Ensure business fees and licenses are calendared and paid accordingly.

Experience Required:

  • Paralegal Certificate or equivalent experience
  • BA/BS preferred.
  • 2+ years corporate legal / executive experience
  • Proficiency with contract management processes and databases
  • Expertise with Microsoft suite of tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and must work well in a team environment.
  • Ability to organize and disseminate information efficiently.
  • Ability to multi-task and strong time management skills, prioritization abilities, and ability to execute
  • Ownership of issues and tasks and strong time management skills
