Legal.io is working with a top fintech company to hire a product counsel for a 4 month, full time, contract assignment.

What You’ll Do:

• ​​Provide guidance to product and engineering teams on issues related to products and features throughout the entire product development lifecycle.
• Draft and negotiate commercial and intellectual property agreements affecting the company's products and services.
• Remain up-to-date on relevant industry, consumer protection, advertising, IP, and privacy laws and regulations to provide an ongoing ability to provide sound compliance advice.
• Draft terms of use, product policies, and disclosures, and implement related processes.
• Provide ideas and insights into how the company can work within the law to create amazing product experiences for its customers.
• Identify risk areas and develop systems, policies, and procedures to manage and mitigate them.

• Be a clear communicator, capable of dissecting complicated regulations into digestible advice

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience as a product counsel or direct relatable experience
• Active bar license in good standing

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience at a fintech company
• Located on the west coast

Role Details:

• Full time, 40 hours per week, 4 month contract
