Legal.io is working with a top technology and entertainment company to hire a contract negotiator to join their legal team. This role could be a junior attorney capable of negotiating contracts and rendering legal advice or a seasoned contract specialist that is experienced negotiating contracts directly with sound judgement that understands when to escalate things to attorneys when necessary.

Job Responsibilities:

Procurement & inbound work (working closely with procurement team)

High volume low risk transactions - internal (people licensing microsoft word or purchasing laptops)

Helping to design, build and improve processes and procedures for contract intake, negotiation and management functions, including by identifying issues, suggesting improvements, and working to implement the improvements

Helping to generate and maintain (and/or to establish processes and tools to generate and maintain) data for contract management and tracking purposes

Helping to create and refine playbooks and negotiation plan templates and transaction-specific negotiation plans.

Negotiating and revising a wide range of agreements within procurement, Hardware/Software, SoW’s MSA’s, NDA’s

Helping to draft and maintain template/form documents and contract clauses; working with business and legal subject matter experts to help update and refine these clauses.

Required Qualifications:

Licensed attorney 2-4 years of experience or Non-JD contract specialist with 8-10 years of experience

License to practice

Experience in large or mid-sized in-house legal departments in tech

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Ironclad
