What We Do

Be part of Epic’s global, multi-specialized team of attorneys and legal professionals as you’ll partner across our organization to provide legal solutions, consult and inform what we build and develop for our people, players and customers around the world.

What You'll Do

We’re looking for a senior product counsel with experience in media and entertainment to support Epic’s newest subsidiary, BandCamp, along with our growing music practice. This position will work closely with our business teams to provide world class legal support and subject matter expertise in complex music issues. 

In this role, you will 

  • Support and advise Bandcamp in all aspects of its business, including software licensing, e-commerce, real estate, music licensing, marketing initiatives, and its customer-facing product and services  
  • Respond to questions about music licensing, copyright and reporting  
  • Update TOS and other policies on an ongoing basis
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. and relevant international laws, rules, regulations and safe harbors
  • Review DMCA safe harbor issues, manage takedown process and other customer responses
  • Provide support to other Epic products and services, as time permits

What we're looking for

  • 5+ years of experience as in-house counsel, specializing in supporting complex music issues
  • Lawyer, qualified to practice in the US
  • Strong initiative and sound judgment, with the ability to work independently
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with a broad range of individuals and groups 
  • Someone who is user-focused, passionate, scrappy, solutions-focused, and innovative. These traits equal success at Epic and influence everything we do.
