We are adding a Legal Operations Analyst to our Legal Operations team.  This role reports to Asana’s Head of Legal Enablement, Partnerships, and Litigation.

We are seeking a detail-oriented, highly organized, highly motivated individual to join our Legal Operations team.  You’ll be responsible for co-creating processes and practices and implementing tools to improve the day-to-day efficiency and effectiveness of the Legal team, facilitate change, and control costs. You’ll manage and support a variety of projects and work with cross-functional teams across the full range of subject matter supported by the Legal team, with an initial focus on revenue and vendor contract processes, budgeting, and outside counsel billing management. The successful candidate in this role will have the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and business needs in a rapidly changing environment and be able to work independently, proactively identifying areas of need and generating actionable plans and solutions.  

What you’ll achieve:

  • Design and manage processes to positively impact the Legal team’s efficiency and effectiveness (including revenue contracts and other contract management)
  • Develop training and enablement programs to provide training and support to stakeholders and Legal team members on legal processes and tools
  • Assist with identification of mission critical tools and systems for the Legal team
  • Manage legal and cross-functional projects and programs with on-time and on-budget results
  • Track, compile, and analyze metrics on revenue contracts and Legal workflow processes, and co-create metrics for other areas of the Legal team
  • Help institutionalize knowledge by gathering and organizing Legal team operations processes and training programs into a single repository of information
  • Assist with vendor management and budget reviews
  • Help us deliver on the Legal team’s operational goals
  • Support and manage a variety of ad hoc projects within the team as they arise

About You:

  • B.A or B.S. required
  • 6+ years of experience with in-house legal operations and/or sales operations, ideally including at a high-growth technology company (experience in both areas is preferred)
  • You have experience creating, managing, and optimizing process across multiple teams
  • You understand how to develop, implement, and manage sales and commercial team metrics
  • You possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills that can tackle complex problems and create simple solutions
  • Communication and collaboration is at the forefront of how you operate, with a focus on making the complicated understandable to all levels of the organization
  • You’ve demonstrated abilities in operational excellence
  • You are a self-starter and problem-solver, with strong project and program management skills
  • You adopt a service-first approach to operations
  • You have a proven track record of collaborating with cross-functional groups (e.g., Finance, Operations, Sales, IT) to set objectives and produce meaningful results that have tangible business impact
  • You have experience with the Google suite and Salesforce, as well as with technology tools commonly used to support legal processes including Ironclad and Brightflag
  • You can independently multitask in a fast-moving environment and can wear multiple hats
