About the role:

In a Corporate Counsel role, you will manage legal business matters to protect the enterprise’s rights in contract negotiations and business practices. As part of a legal team with 200 attorneys and paraprofessionals, your focus will be on technology licensing, strategic partnership and transaction support.

About the team

You will part of a team of over 30 legal professionals focused on our North American Capital Markets business.  

What you will be doing:

  • Prepare and negotiate contracts while providing legal advice and counsel to business units in areas that include software licensing, data security, privacy and regulatory matters.
  • Performing legal research and analysis on commercial contracts and information technology law issues.
  • Advise colleagues on legal issues relating to commercial contracts, product development and compliance. 

What you will need

  • A college degree and a Juris Doctor from an accredited US law school
  • Licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction. 
  • Experience drafting information and technology services agreements, software license agreements, and general commercial contracts.
  • Ability to review and evaluate multi-faceted issues and counsel business colleagues on complex legal questions relating to various business matters.
