Northrop Grumman’s Law Department is seeking a Corporate Counsel to support its Information Security legal practice, and Government Contracts and Global Operations team at the corporate headquarters in Falls Church, VA. The role will report to the Assistant General Counsel, Information Security, and the Assistant General Counsel, Government Contracts and Operations.

This position can be hired as a Corporate Counsel I or II, depending upon the candidate's experience and education.

The successful candidate will be a self-motivated, experienced attorney who will provide legal support to a number of the company' s internal operations, including in matters related to Information Security, Data Management, Enterprise Security, Privacy, and general government contracts advice. Such support shall include effectively partnering with executives and other partners within the Office of the Chief Information Officer on a wide array of projects, including cyber, privacy, cloud technology, and data transformation. The candidate will also assist in supporting the Corporation’s Vice President for Global Operations, who has responsibility for the Company’s Security, Supply, Chain, and Facilities functions.  In addition, the successful candidate will serve as a resource for the operations counsel in support of  our sectors and other functions, including supply chain, to provide practical, implementable legal guidance in these key areas.

Basic Qualifications:

  • JD from an ABA accredited law school.

  • A member of the Virginia Bar, or, in lieu of licensure, ability to obtain Virginia corporate counsel certificate.

  • A minimum of 5 years of directly related experience in law firms, the US Government, or commercial business, preferably with cybersecurity, privacy, cloud, information management and other related experience.

  • Experience working directly with clients and partners as counsel for the US Government, in-house within the US defense and intelligence contracting community, or in private practice.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in cybersecurity, privacy, cloud computing, and outsourcing and other enterprise support issues.

  •  Active security clearance and ability to hold a U.S. Top Secret/SCI clearance.

Salary Range: $188,800 USD - $271,400 USD
Salary Range 2: $209,700 USD - $301,400 USD
 
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
