Legal.io is working with a leading technology focused events promoter and venue operator to find a technology/transactions attorney with experience working with NFTs and web3 technologies. This is a permanent/direct-hire position with our client.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Draft and negotiate inbound and outbound technology licensing agreements, including IP licensing agreements and agreements with content providers
  • Provide commercial contracting support for various business teams throughout the company
  • Provide legal advice and support on development of new digital product planning, partnerships, and fan engagement across a range of digital platforms and business models, focusing on NFTs, Web3 technology, metaverse, and other emerging technologies
  • Draft, review, analyze and interpret complex vendor contracts related to the procurement and use of technology products and services, including software, hardware, cloud, SaaS, and managed services.

Required Qualifications:

  • J.D. from accredited law school and California bar membership in good standing, or willingness and qualification to be Registered In-House Counsel.
  • Minimum of 5 years of law firm experience working on technology transactions and related mattersl
  • Experience providing advice and counsel, and drafting and negotiating agreements related to NFTs, Web3 technology and other emerging technologies, including content licensing and terms of use.
  • Some prior in-house experience is preferred but not required.
  • Proficiency in drafting complex transactional agreements, together with the ability to distill complicated legal concepts into their core components and ideas.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills with the ability to interact and communicate with all levels of the organization and outside counsel.
  • Practical approach to legal drafting and problem solving and ability to translate legal issues into clear guidance for non-lawyers.
  • Sound business judgment and ability to assess legal risk while also thinking strategically and providing practical advice.
  • Ability to learn quickly, take initiative and multi-task in a highly demanding, deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and with a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to work in the company's Beverly Hills offices would be preferred, but not required
  • Remote work would be acceptable for the right candidates
