About the job

Legal.io is working with a leading company to bring on an experienced Commercial and Real Estate Paralegal. The position will support the Commercial Real Estate team and work cross functionally with Sales and Marketing, Portfolio Management on customer-related and real estate matters, and Operations on operational and facility management matters.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • With oversight from the Legal team, review and/or negotiate NDAs, updating the NDA playbook and processes.
  • Assist with drafting, reviewing and/or negotiating customer, broker, marketing, vendor and other agreements (e.g., termination letters, marketing agreements, broker registration letters, standard MSAs/order forms and other commercial agreements).
  • Assist with day-to-day operations and real estate matters (e.g., lien waivers, easements) as well as transactional matters (e.g., financings, dispositions, acquisitions).
  • Manage sign off process in DocuSign for NDAs and other documents managed by the Legal team, providing backup support as needed for execution of documents
  • Manage database containing commercial and/or other agreements.
  • Manage a variety of customer-related matters (e.g., troubled customers, customers in bankruptcy proceedings) with oversight from attorneys
  • Work with Legal and Operations teams to optimize processes and playbooks and improve and automate standard templates
  • Support the Legal team and business on regulatory and audit issues and project management.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelors' degree
  • A minimum of eight years of substantive legal experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and work ethic.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Willing to work on a broad variety of matters in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail oriented, friendly, approachable, professional demeanor and disposition with a corresponding level of maturity.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively.
  • Ability to act with sound business judgment in ambiguous situations.
  • Team player who can easily handle shifting priorities and pressure
  • IT-minded (and familiarity with basic IT systems, including Oracle and SharePoint).

Job Details

  • Start Date: Immediate
  • Pay: $100,000 - $120,000 / annually + 10% bonus
  • Location: Hybrid (Austin or Dallas)
