Legal.io is working with a non-profit organization that provides grants and early-stage investments to incentivize independent research and entrepreneurship in the emerging field of health-span science. They are seeking a part time employment counsel for a 3 month contract.

What You’ll Do:

Support US hiring initiatives by ensuring compliance for all US hiring laws

Support non-immigrant visas available to foreign workers, including business travel, trainee and intracompany transfer visas

Provide direction and advice to, and drafts and coordinates labor and employment law-related documents for the company, including employment agreements

Responds to inquiries/requests by department and outside counsel

Who you are:

An experienced employment attorney with 7+ years of experience

A specialist that understands the issues that face a global company with exposure to international employment law since the organization is based abroad

Active and in good standing with the state bar association

A strong understanding of employment tax related issues that would be a plus

Role Details:

Anticipated Start Date: early February

Location: Remote (with the potential to come into their new Boston office space to work collaboratively)

3 month contract

Part time 10 hours per week

Hourly pay rate: $100 - $200 per hour depending on experience
