About the job

Legal.io is working with several established and growing tech companies seeking 100% remote, Procurement Counsel on a contract basis to support their existing legal teams and business divisions.

What You’ll Do:

  • Handle procurement IT, Operations, Staffing agreements, HR agreements
  • Draft, redline and negotiate agreements including: Indemnification, Limited Liability, Staffing agreements, software licensing agreements, supplier agreements (hardware and software)
  • Marketing & Events - agreements (ex: hotel agreements, boilerplate but requiring legal review)

Required Qualifications:

  • Someone who has an understand what happens on IT side
  • Strong emphasis on deadlines and turnaround times
  • Must have 5+ years of experience working at a law firm or in-house, in a procurement (commercial) counsel or related experience position
  • Active bar license

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Privacy experience / exposure (GDPR / CCPA)
  • Experience building playbooks (clause suggestions)
  • Public company contract experience

Role Details:

  • New clients need on a weekly basis
  • Location: 100% remote
  • Full time or part time, contract hire for either 3, 6 or 12 month engagements (some contract engagements will have the option to renew, and others may convert to full time direct hire employment upon successful completion and budgetary allowance)
