Applied Materials has an exciting opportunity to join a world class Employment Law group.  The team is looking for a talented litigation paralegal to join our legal team in the Austin office.  The ideal candidate has a solid litigation background and can assist attorneys in all stages of litigation.  The essential functions include review and management of case files, including the discovery process (i.e. collecting, retaining and producing documents), draft basic legal documents, and coordinate and schedule witness interviews and depositions.  This position requires excellent communication skills, can-do attitude, exhibit the ability to maintain a high-level of confidentiality, capable of supporting multiple tasks and individuals, and execute in a fast-paced environment. This position is an onsite / hybrid (2-3 days a week) and will be based in Austin, TX.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
  • Professional written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to manage all documents related to all stages of litigation, run reports and ensure data accuracy
  • Collaborate with internal teams and outside counsel to support employment litigation matters, subpoena responses, pre-litigation disputes, management of legal holds and discovery
  • Provide day-to-day support to the Employment Law team
  • Assist with company investigations and personnel-related issues
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with a broad range of cross-functional stakeholders

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3+ years of litigation experience
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks
  • Attention to detail
  • Self-sufficient and have the ability and desire to work collaboratively with the team
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Products (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), including OpenText/Catalyst (or other e-discovery platforms)

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or ABA Paralegal Certification
  • Employment law experience
  • Experience working with a global team

U.S. Salary Range:

$84,000.00 - $115,500.00

 

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on a number of factors including location and level and will vary depending on confirmed job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.  In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.
