Job Description:

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Assist counsel with preference matters by investigating facts of the claim. Review collection documents as requested by business group.

  • Manage discovery requests for all government inquiries, subpoenas and litigation including employment and bankruptcy. Manage all subpoenas by tracking them, determining the nature of the subpoena, gathering information, and analyzing collected information in preparation of final submission.  Coordinate with IT to manage all electronic discovery requests. Issue legal hold notice by contacting those affected by the hold notice and providing instructions, per the notice. Review documents and materials for discovery production, government responses, and ongoing investigations. Maintain and organize case files. Maintain and update all litigation related matters. 

  • Review and revise contract forms and agreements including NDA’s, vendor contracts, and amendments, and addenda, Letter of Credits, Flooring/Leasing agreements. Liaise with business leaders to obtain input on and necessary approval of non-standard contract provisions. Review and approve suppliers audit request.

  • Coordinate with corporate group/services on various corporate matters including establishing new entities, obtaining good standing certificate, registering entity qualifications and dissolution of entities, apostille/authentication of corporate documents as needed.

  • Maintains all applicable information and documentation for contracts, legal holds and legal cases/matters. Information is stored and updated in databases. Upon request research information associated with these legal documents and provide specifics (e.g., customer information for a contract). 

  • Reviews standard legal forms such as Ts&Cs, NDAs, and confidentiality agreements. Based on the review, may implement revisions as required and coordinate distribution of such forms as needed.

  • Compile investigation materials for Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) complaints. Draft and prepare EEOC responses. Perform web research for statutes, regulations, or new developments. Assist with investigations as needed, by performing preliminary interviews or fact-finding. Maintain status on all ongoing EEOC claims and litigation cases. Serve as liaison among in-house counsel, internal clients and outside counsel. Advise HR business partners of status of employment litigation or EEOC claims.

  • Review record retention schedule for compliance with legal matters and ongoing cases.

  • Assist providing Legal Firm management.

  • Assist with Settlement support.

What Are We Looking For?

  • Experience with maintaining compliance related subpoenas and internal/external information requests by tracking them, gathering information, and determining the nature of the subpoena/request, including if there is any restriction on sharing of information. Maintain status on all ongoing compliance related subpoenas and inquiries.

  • Manage discovery demands for litigation. Coordinate with IT to manage any electronic discovery requests.   • Review and manage standard legal forms such as Ts&Cs, NDAs, confidentiality agreements, end use certificates, and other compliance related agreements. Liaise with business leaders to obtain input on and necessary approval of non-standard contract provisions. Based on the review, implement revisions as required and coordinate distribution of such forms as needed.

  • Review record retention schedule for compliance with legal matters.

Experience / Education

  • Typically requires a 4 year degree and at least 2–4 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience.

  • Paralegal certificate preferred.

Annual Hiring Range/Hourly Rate:

$29.90 - $37.02

Actual compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level. The pay ratio between base pay and target incentive (if applicable) will be finalized at offer.
