· Support internal and external litigation counsel in all stages of litigation, both administrative and substantive.
· Assist and drive the factual development and analysis of cases, including coordination with the relevant business teams, gathering, reviewing, and analyzing documents.
· Manage the discovery process, including the collection, retention, and production of documents, drafting written responses to discovery, and responding to third party subpoenas.
· Draft basic legal documents, including settlement agreements, document retention notices, and engagement and response letters.
· Prepare court documents for filing.
· Maintain a litigation calendar and monitor case dockets.
· 3-5+ years of relevant experience handing litigation matters, experience running state/federal trials a plus.
· Bachelor’s degree and/or paralegal certification preferred or equivalent experience and evidence of exceptional ability.
· Litigation law firm and/or automotive insurance company experience required, in-house experience a plus.
· Demonstrated ability to work efficiently, flexibly, prioritize workflow, meet demanding deadlines, and manage multi-dimensional projects in a fast-paced environment.
· Understanding and comfort with litigation motion practice, discovery, arbitrations, and trials. eDiscovery and Appellate experience a plus.
· Proven track record of learning quickly, taking initiative, working proactively, being resourceful, and taking on additional responsibility.
· Strong organizational, analytical, fact-finding, technology, and negotiation skills.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Strong work ethic with a goal-oriented focus.
