The Boeing Company is seeking an Experienced Paralegal to join the Law and Global Compliance Department within the Enterprise Finance and Corporate Governance practice group in Seattle, WA . This position will support the management and maintenance of Boeing legal entities around the globe, including subsidiaries and branch and representative offices, as well as functional and jurisdictional registrations and licenses. From time to time, the position may also assist with other matters related to corporate governance and securities.

The Paralegal will perform their work under the supervision of lawyers within the Boeing Law Department, but will have significant discretion and autonomy in performing day-to-day tasks. The Paralegal will also be expected to closely and effectively collaborate and coordinate with stakeholders inside and outside the company, including Boeing’s business and finance leaders around the globe and outside counsel, and they must be skilled at managing a large, complex, and global portfolio of projects.


Position Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with various Boeing departments in support of their activities, e.g., Tax, Treasury, Boeing International

  • Coordinate work flow and communication with managing attorneys and other internal clients and functional groups

  • Liaise with designated outside counsel on corporate governance matters

  • Prepare powers of attorney

  • Update and maintain checklists related to subsidiary maintenance and administration

  • Conduct research as assigned

  • Review and approve outside counsel invoices

  • Be adaptable and flexible

  • Multitask and adjust priorities to respond to unanticipated events and needs

  • Initiate independent action as necessary and know when to request assistance

  • Manage interpersonal business relationships and recognize and balance the needs and requirements of all stakeholders

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.  This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a

“US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

 

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 1+ years of experience in a law firm or corporate in-house counsel setting

  • Experience managing or supporting large projects, working with many stakeholders, including stakeholders in different cultures

  • Experience with subsidiary management and maintenance, including managing corporate governance and compliance related matters and activities that may occur during the lifespan (i.e. from formation through disposition) of legal entities associated with a multi-national company

 

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or Paralegal Certification, or equivalent experience

  • Experience working with global anti-corruption laws or other policy and international regulatory compliance issues

  • Experience working in a large, complex organization

 

Typical Education & Experience:

High school diploma or GED and typically 4 or more years’ related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Relocation:

Summary pay range: $73,950-$100,050
