Job Description

This position provides paralegal support to various areas of the Legal department based on departmental priorities and needs. The Agile Paralegal role requires considerable initiative, independent judgment, adaptability, resourcefulness, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in an agile and high-paced environment. This position prepares and handles sensitive and confidential information with maximum discretion.  

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with a wide variety of requests to support the corporate legal department, including contract review and providing support on real estate, compliance-related initiatives, debt and financing or M&A transactions.  
  • Assist with managing contract intake and review processes.
  • Assist in creating and/or managing agreements, data, documents and information.
  • Assist with review of legal or business-related documents, including contracts, to issue-spot potential legal concerns and provide advice.
  • Assist on projects related to product warranties, labeling, and compliance.
  • Assist in managing real estate portfolio and reviewing associated documents.
  • Liaise with outside counsel as needed.
  • Draft internal memos, summaries, reports and other correspondence.
  • Prepare spreadsheets, organizational charts, timelines, presentations, project management tracking.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with various departments with which our team interfaces to obtain and/or provide information.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Prior experience with some, but not all, of the listed duties and responsibilities. Willingness to learn and assist with any of the above.
  • Graduation from an American Bar Association certified paralegal school.
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years of previous experience with a corporate legal department.

  • Exceptional organizational and follow-up skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong proofreading skills.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite including Word, PowerPoint and Excel, and experience with Outlook.
