This position reports to the Chief Financial Officer and may be located anywhere in New York (Preference), Chicago, Baltimore, Philadelphia, or San Francisco _.

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Corporate Counsel will interact with the firm leadership and operators as well as the Corporate (Finance, Human Resources, Technology, & Marketing).

**The Corporate Counsel will perform a wide range of duties that may include, but are not limited to:

**

  • Assisting in negotiating, executing, and enforcing lease agreements
  • Assisting in reviewing, negotiating, and executing contracts with vendors and clients, including nonprofit entities across all sectors
  • Assisting in preparing and submitting insurance applications, working with insurance brokers, notifying insurance carriers regarding insurable events, and obtaining insurance reimbursement and proof of coverage
  • Assisting in supervising and reviewing reports regarding employment-related matters
  • Assisting in preparing reports and information required by government agencies and auditors
  • Assisting in scheduling and preparing reports and materials for CCS Board of Managers
  • Assisting in advising and training on professional responsibility matters

**Qualifications:

** The ideal candidate will have knowledge of providing business and legal support in Contract Negotiation and Drafting, Corporate Governance, application of Rules and Regulations, Grievances, Litigation, Immigration and Non-for-Profit Law.

  • Ability to effectively write business legal reports and correspondence
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with and manager outside counsel
  • Ability to effectively present information to management
  • Ability to effectively respond to inquiries for regulatory agencies, clients, and business community
  • Self-assured and confident with a strong belief in own capabilities
  • Strong eye for business and outstanding writing skills
  • Self-starter, sound decision making skills, excellent attention to detail
  • D. from an ABA-accredited law school and state bar admission in New York or eligibility for immediate membership
  • 6+ years of experience in legal practice
  • Broad knowledge of federal and state labor and employment laws and regulations strongly preferred
  • Excellent analytical, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to fighting for equity and social justice
  • Immigration law experience a plus
  • Must be willing to work in a "hybrid/flex" environment which will require both on-site and remote work as designated and may be updated from time to time.

**SALARY RANGE: $120,000-$140,000
