Position Specific Description

NextEra Energy Resources  is looking for a Senior Legal  Assistant to join the commercial transactions team in our Juno Beach office.

 

The employee in this position will be responsible for:

  • Assisting in preparation of commercial agreements, including formatting and redlining
  • Drafting notices and correspondence
  • Preparing outside counsel engagement packages, budgets and tracking outside counsel invoices
  • Providing administrative support to attorneys, including preparing expense reports, making travel arrangements, organizing meetings, time entry

Job Overview

Employees in this role provide advanced legal and administrative assistance and support functions for attorneys and members of the law department.

 

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assists in case preparation including basic legal research, file maintenance and transaction management and closings
  • Drafts documents and correspondence
  • Maintains legal calendar and schedules all legal proceedings and negotiations
  • Mentors and coordinates work activities for junior employees
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

 

Required Qualifications
