CPG Licensing Specialist | Paralegal Open to New York, NY, Stamford, CT and Plainfield, IL

Immediate  Licensing Specialist / Paralegal opening with one of the largest Alcohol Beverages Distribution corporations in the world.   PLEASE REVIEW REQUIREMENTS CAREFULLY: ·       Understanding of regulations

·       Experience in posting, federal regulations expertise and documentation with regulatory ·       State Beverage Compliance and Regulations experience is a plus! ·       Licensing or Paralegal/Legal background is required ·       Strong licensing documentation experience ·       Must reside within commuting distance of either New York, NY, Stamford, CT or Plainfield, IL and will be required to work hybrid.   ADDITIONAL DETAILS: ·       Location: New York, NY, Stamford, CT or Plainfield, IL ·       Duration: 6+ Months Consulting ·        Salary: Between $48.00 -  $51.72 /hr ·       Description:

Purpose

  • Establish Best Practices _:   _Provide best practice standardization and codification to maintain licensing renewal schedule, as well as how to handle when state laws impact our licensing. Maintain communication, both externally and internally with key stakeholders
  • Provide Technical Support :  Ensure compliance to the State regulations on licensing. Must be willing and comfortable with reading state and federal regulations.
  • Assure Compliance : Maintain audit ready principles, with accurate record keeping.

Management Responsibility This role is based in Plainfield IL, or Stamford CT or New York NY. and reports to the State Beverage Compliance Manager in Plainfield, IL. This role has responsibility to ensure compliance with licensing regulations. The role works closely with Legal, as well as with the brand registration specialists, and will also work with state excise. Travel is not required. There are no direct reports to this role.

 

Complexity of Role

  • Familiarity with the Code of Federal Regulations, specifically Title 27
  • Expert at preparing documentation and paperwork, with clear communications.
  • Comfort reading state regulations and contrasting with Federal.
  • Comfort complying with state regulations, and deadlines.
  • Interact with government officials, as well as key internal stakeholders.
  • Establish best practices and standards in conjunction with other team members.
  • Maintain large portfolio of licenses without lapse.
  • Experience with alcohol beverage licensing

Key Outputs/Deliverables

  • License schedule maintained with no lapse in coverage
  • Record keeping for all licenses
  • Maintain bonds
  • Advise on new requirements in case of law or business change
  • Provide licenses to sites, and advise on posting in compliance with regulations.
  • Continuously challenge ways of working, ensuring consistency of process and compliance in all states even in face of changing regulations.
  • Grow self through regular updates and training.
