Position Overview

The Manager, Consumer Privacy Compliance is responsible for supporting key elements of CrossCountry Mortgage’s Consumer Privacy Program, including Training and Policies & Procedures, to ensure that regulator and investor/agency expectations are exceeded. This role acts as the Compliance Department’s centralized channel for processing, responding to, and verifying compliance with consumer privacy requests.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist to develop, adopt, and maintain strategies and processes to organize the intake and completion of consumer requests under relevant consumer privacy laws and identified areas of risk.
  • Review vendor approval requests for compliance with mortgage lending and consumer privacy requirements.
  • Ensure the company’s federal, state, and internal Do Not Call registry is updated as required by state and federal law.
  • Assist in the development of strategies to architect databases to store and maintain consumer data sharing preferences under federal and state law.
  • Develop and perform audits of communications with consumers to validate compliance with federal, state, and company requirements.
  • Develop, write, and publicize various job aids, policies, procedures, original training content, and communications related to the company’s privacy policies.
  • Assist to craft narratives for examinations, investor requests, and audits.
  • Cross-collaborate with key stakeholders in other departments, fostering business relationships to meet department goals and objectives.
  • Other duties assigned by management.

Qualifications And Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent combination of education/experience.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in mortgage lending, with at least 2 years in a compliance role.
  • Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining effective processes to ensure that company objectives are met.
  • Working knowledge of federal and state consumer communication and privacy laws and regulations, including but not limited to TSR, TCPA, CAN-SPAM Act, and California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), preferred.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to navigate complex regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent leadership, collaboration, and communication skills.

Pay Range

  • $65,000.00 - $75,000.00
  • The posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.
