Duties and Responsibilities:

This Paralegal position supports the Labor and Employment Team, and may periodically assist others on special projects as needed. 

  • Serves as paralegal resource for labor and employment team under direction of attorneys.
  • Maintains electronic database and files for pleadings, correspondence, discovery, and other documents regarding various litigation and labor and employment-related matters.
  • Prepares and, with oversight from internal and/or external counsel, responds to administrative charges (e.g. EEOC charges).
  • Serves as a liaison between legal department and operating groups in managing litigation matters.
  • Assist with the coordination of document productions in labor and employment matters.
  • Conduct document reviews (including employment records, business records, etc.) for labor and employment matters.
  • Conduct legal research of state and federal laws, regulations, and policies; prepare legal memoranda summarizing research.
  • Assists in responding to subpoenas and court orders for labor and employment matters.
  • Prepares, coordinates, and calendars dockets for labor and employment matters.
  • Analyzes and manipulates data exports in excel to provide metrics for labor and employment matters.
  • Consistent, regular, punctual attendance, as scheduled, is an essential responsibility of this position.
  • Able to work overtime with little or no notice as needed;
  • Attend team meetings, phone conferences, and training as needed or required;
  • Know, understand, and follow teammate guidelines, employment practices, and department or company procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree required, Bachelor's Degree preferred, Paralegal Certificate preferred
  • Minimum of 6 years Paralegal experience
  • Labor and employment law experience preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adjust priorities
  • Strong communication skills
  • Exceptional organization and attention to detail
  • Willingness to work as part of a team

Salary/ Wage Range

$32.89 - $48.27 / hour

Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
