Description: Fox Rothschild seeks an income partner with significant experience in global patent prosecution and opinion work in the field of life sciences to reside in select Fox Rothschild offices across the east coast. This position requires familiarity with all aspects of patent prosecution and counseling, preferably including licensing and agreement work. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience and a strong background in life sciences, particularly biotech. Superior academic record and excellent writing and oral communication skills are required. Small amount of portable business, a plus. Must be licensed to practice in the state in which the Fox Rothschild office resides.  

Qualifications: 

• Juris Doctorate (JD) required.
• PhD in biological sciences preferred.
• 10+ years of experience.
• Small amount of portable business, a plus.
• The candidate must be licensed to practice in the state where the office resides.
• Candidate must be willing to commute into a Fox Rothschild office at least 3 days a week.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

• Strong academic record and excellent written and oral communication skills required.
• Strong life sciences skills, particularly biotech
• Pharma/Biotech experience preferred.

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

• This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment including, but not limited to computers, telephones, printers, and copiers.

Physical Requirements

• Sedentary work: Exertion of physical strength to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects up to 10 pounds. Work involves sitting most of the time. Walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties.

Visual Acuity

• Worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.

• The expected salary range for qualified candidates with no portable business or limited portable business residing in New York, Washington D.C., or Illinois is $240,000 to $290,000.
