About the Team The US Commercial, IP, and Law Enforcement Legal Team (the "Team") is part of the North America Global Business Services and Corporate Compliance legal team, primarily covering TikTok and supporting other products and services. The Team provides key commercial, intellectual property, and law enforcement legal support for all TikTok's initiatives, state-of-the-art products, and integrated platforms servicing our global video and other markets. We provide legal support for the following functional verticals: content, corporate services (procurement, real estate and data infrastructure), distribution and product partnerships, functional services (comms, trust and safety and public policy), intellectual property, law enforcement, and marketing (B2C). We help our business, product, and functional teams enable their vision by providing integrated legal guidance and support. Responsibilities: - Experienced commercial counsel who can handle sophisticated commercial work and counseling for content licensing and partnerships deals (e.g., gaming and entertainment partner transactions); - Provide strategic counsel on a broad range of initiatives (partnerships, live events, integrations, creator programs, terms of service, etc.) and draft and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements (co-marketing agreements; studio portfolio agreements; content and data licensing; creator agreements; master service agreements, research agreements, etc.); and - You will work cross-functionally with business and legal colleagues to support the global businesses of TikTok and our other products.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: - US qualified attorney with significant experience in commercial legal matters; - Bachelor’s degree plus a Juris Doctorate from an ABA-accredited law school; - A track record of closing challenging deals and advising on digital subject matter; and - Confident, ownership-styled personality, who is comfortable with uncertainty, high work volumes, and demanding client stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience as an in-house legal counsel; - Experience in a high-growth technology company and fast-paced operating environment; - A passion for and understanding of platform technology and how it intersects with law and policy; and - Experience with a wide variety of commercial deal types. 【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (annually)

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $133000 - $216600 annually.​

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.​
