Description

As Product & Privacy Legal Ops & Counsel, you will work closely with the Privacy and Product Legal team along with other central functions to support the development, management, and execution of the team’s policies, procedures and processes. In addition to making sure that the Privacy & Product Legal team’s work runs smoothly, you will help manage cross-functional projects in support of company objectives. 

Responsibilities

  • Lead the identification and implementation of projects within the Privacy & Product Legal Team’s work plan in alignment with and in support of business goals and objectives. Serve as the Privacy & Product legal team’s liaison for select cross-functional strategic initiatives and coordinate legal aspects and resources needed for these initiatives.
  • Partner with senior leadership to ensure projects/processes are moving forward, deadlines are being met, and the leadership team is apprised of status on projects or initiatives. Work with Counsel and other executive and legal management to optimize processes, practices, and systems to improve the efficiency, effectiveness, and performance of the Privacy & Product Legal Team Department, including the IP functions.
  • Assists in the development of training materials and playbooks. Build internal Privacy & Product Legal knowledge management processes and capabilities. Develop and implement key internal guidelines, processes, policies, and framework to support and enhance the team’s matter management. Optimization and enhancement of legal systems and processes to support improved efficiency, value, and improved information for decision making.
  • Lead activities and initiatives associated with change management and compliance. Perform regular business process reviews to make ongoing suggestions and create action plans.
  • Work closely with the Chief Counsel to ensure efficient and scalable internal management routines, and prepare for key presentations. Supports the Chief Counsel with other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications

  • JD Preferred with 7+ years of relevant experience in a legal organization or operations role.
  • Proven experience in leading and implementing privacy programs, initiatives, or projects from inception to completion.
  • Deep understanding of privacy laws and regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA) and ability to apply them to real-world situations.
  • Excellent communication and training skills to educate employees on privacy best practices and compliance.
  • Strong collaboration skills to work closely with legal, IT, and other teams to embed privacy into company culture and operations.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience with Google workspace. Strong ability to cooperate and work creatively and collaboratively toward solutions that benefit all parties.
  • Excellent judgment, attention to detail, and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and within an organization experiencing growth.
  • Large-scale project management skills on projects having broad organizational impact.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $162,000 - $230,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
