Essential Job Functions

As a member of the Firmwide Paralegal Department, the Firmwide Paralegal Program Specialist will work in close coordination with the Firmwide Associate Director of Paralegal Program and Global Support Lead to support and develop consistent benchmarks and standards across the Firmwide Paralegal Program. In addition, the Specialist will work closely with HR to serve as a primary contact for recruiting, and in conjunction with Paralegal Managers and Directors, creating professional development seminars.

Excellent communication skills with the proven ability to interact effectively with attorneys and staff is critical.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (This list is not exhaustive and may be supplemented and changed as necessary.)

  • Build strategic relationships with HR and the staff recruitment team to advance the Paralegal Program’s recruitment strategies
  • Support all aspects of the Firm’s paralegal recruiting efforts
  • Organizing and deploying paralegal training and development initiatives
  • Scheduling and communicating all aspects of Firmwide engagement and training events
  • Organizing curriculum materials to align with career-pathing
  • Administering and analyzing surveys and evaluations for training programs
  • Partnering with members of Leadership where necessary to manage for the continuous improvement of training programs
  • Scheduling and assisting with Firmwide Junior Paralegal and Practice Group specific orientation programming
  • Create paralegal utilization and hours reports and trend charts relating to same
  • Identify and execute opportunities to optimize paralegal workflows and process improvements, including evaluating new technologies to enhance productivity.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a professional services organization is required.
  • Must have excellent judgement, organizational skills, and be highly responsive.
  • High level of collaboration and the ability to work independently to drive initiatives forward.
  • Excellent communication skills showcasing the proven ability to interact effectively across the organization with an aptitude to present and explain key information to a wide range of audiences.
  • Strong decision-making skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances and challenges, communicating changes in a clear and positive manner.
  • Demonstrates awareness of events and the relevance to their own work in support of team objectives.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a very strong attention to detail and a professional demeanor
